You will find plenty of cycle paths around Bergen aan Zee. In the Noordhollands Duinreservaat as well as in the Schoorlse Duinen you can make endless trips at any time of the year. The trails have good signage, are in excellent condition and lead through open dunes or dense forests. In addition to bicycles, only e-bikes are allowed in the dunes.

Dunecard

Admission to the Schoorlse Duinen nature reserve is free. For the Noordhollands Duinreservaat you need a dune card if you are older than 17. You can choose between a day, week or year ticket. Annual tickets cost € 12.50 and are available from various sales outlets or online. Start

Riding a bicycle offers you a large area of activity. Bergen Aan Zee is therefore an ideal starting point for a longer bicycle tour, for example to the polder areas, the cheese town Alkmaar or the old “Westfriese Omringdijk”. There are several signposted cycling routes such as the “Brede Duinen Route”, which was selected a few years ago as the most beautiful cycling route in the Netherlands.

Finally, the MTB track around Schoorl is highly recommended for the sporty cyclist. A challenging route with many height differences.
