Many events take place in and around Bergen Aan Zee every year. In the cultural field, but also sporty, relaxing, informative and… simply very beautiful! A few of the many activities throughout the year:

• Poetry in the surf (April / May): Poetry along the tidal line with an annually changing theme
• Woodlands Festival (May): Music, stand-up, theatre and more

• Lichtjesavond  on the first Wednesday in August: the center of Bergen becomes a pedestrian area, electric light is turned off and makes room for hundreds of thousands of candles and lanterns along the streets, paths and squares. A tradition that has existed since 1928,
• International Holland Music Sessions (juli/augustus)
  Caribbean Night (augustus): salsa, orchestras and dancers bring a Caribbean atmosphere.
